International Cricket Council had a new format of cricket since 2007. The event is known with the name of T20 Tournament. In this format of game every Team has 20overs to bat and bowled. The format is so fast and people like is very much. It is short in time and more interesting then Test and One Day International Cricket. The mega event of this format of game is held after every two years since 2007. The first mega event of the format was held in Republic Of South Africa. 12 teams participated in this event around the world. After qualifying rounds 4best teams from the world of cricket qualify for the semi finals of the tournament. In semi finals Pakistan beat New Zealand and India beat Australia and enters in to the finals. The contest was won by India.
India beat Pakistan in the finals of the tournament and become the first team who won this contest. The tournament was very successful and viewed over the world. People enjoyed it so much most of people who does not watch cricket at regular they also watch the tournament. The most important thing that made it successful and most viewed was short time and full enjoyment in every single match. Then ICC decided to arrange it after every tow years. Three Mega Event had been played in the format of game. Second was won by Pakistan who beat Sri Lanka in 2009 and the third one was won by England who beat Australia in 2010. The event was to play in 2011 but the ICC ODI Cricket World Cup was also in 2011 therefore ICC decided to arrange it in 2010.
