Football World cup


The FIFA World Cup is an international association football competition established in 1930. It is contested by the men’s national teams of the member of federation International de Football Association (FIFA), the governing body. Football is the most viewed game in the world. The tournament has taken place every four years, except in 1942 and 1946, when the competition was cancelled due to World War 2.

Football is the most viewed sport in the world ever. People from around the World like it more then other game. The most recent World Cup hosted by South Africa, was won by Spain, who beat Netherlands 1-0 in finals after extra time of 30minutes. The next World Cup will be held in Brazil from 13 June to 13 July 2014.

19 World Cups had been played since 1930. The world Cup excepted in 1942 and 1946 was cancelled due to World War 2.  The most successful team who won this contest most is Brazil. Brazil qualifies 7 times for the finals of the championship and was successful in 5 times 2 times Brazil was the runners-up of the finals. Italy is the 2nd team who is most successful in the tournament’s finals, they qualifies 6 times and won the cup 4 times. Germany qualifies 7 times but only managed to win it 3 times, 4 times they lose the finals. Argentina and Uruguay win this two times, France, England, Spain win the championship 1 time each. Netherlands 3, Czechoslovakia and Hungry 2, and Sweden 1 time qualify the finals but did not win it.
