2nd Match World cup 1975-East Africa vs New Zealand

2nd match of World cup 1975 was played between East Africa and New Zealand. The toss was won by New Zealanders and after no doubt they decided to bat first. The New Zealand had a better side then East African team. New Zealand's got a good start and then lost their first wicket at 51runs. As New Zealand hundred runs completed they lost their 2nd wicket at 103 runs. Then GM Turner and JM Parker add 149 more runs in their team's total. GM Turner was the top scorer from the New Zealand side he scored unbeatable 171 runs from 190 balls that he faced.

  The East African team's start was not so good they lost early wickets and their run rate was also very slow from the required rate. RD Hadlee and HJ Howarth from New Zealand side picked up 3 wicket each. In reply of the 309 runs they only scored 128 runs in 60 overs with 8 wickets they lose. New Zealand won that match by 181 runs. 12 players made their One Day International debuts, in which 11from East African team and one from New Zealand. GM Turner from New Zealand named man of the match. New Zealand got 4 points after winning that match.
