First Cricket World cup 1975 (Part 1)

 The ICC Cricket World Cup is the premier International Championship of men,s One Day International Cricket. International Cricket Council organize this Championship with preliminary qualification rounds leading up to finals. Tournament which held every four years.
According to ICC, it is the most important tournament and the pinnacle achievement in the sport. The tournament is the fourth-largest and fourth-most viewed sporting event in the World. The first World cup was played in 1975. The tournament was hosted by England and officially known as the Prudential cup, since it was Sponsored by the Prudential Assurance company. The tournament was stretched from June 7 to June 21, with 8 Nations competing for the trophy. In tournament there were 2 groups for the preliminary matches, each of them with 4 teams. 8 teams who participated in the first tournament were included with six test playing nation, Australia, England, West Indies, New Zealand, Pakistan, India, along with Sri Lanka and a composite team from East Africa.
  15 matches was played in the tournament. Each of the matches comprised of 60 overs per team, with 6 balls in one over. The player wore the traditional white clothing and played with red ball. The matches or first World cup were played in Lord's Cricket ground(London), The Oval (London), Edgbaston Cricket ground (Birmingham), Trent Bridge (Nottingham), Headingley stadium (Leeds), and Old Trafford cricket ground (Manchester).
